We are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic events that took place at the Heaton

Park Hebrew Congregation in Manchester on Yom Kippur yesterday.

Our thoughts are with the Manchester Jewish community, and especially the families

directly affected by this lethal attack which has reverberated throughout British society.

The recent worrying increase in anti-Jewish sentiment and activity has been well

documented.

For the Foundation, this has underlined the relevance and importance of our

work in turning historic synagogues into profound places of education. We believe that

cultural heritage can be a powerful tool in combating prejudice.

Through our work, we strive to build bridges between communities, promoting knowledge and understanding, and ensuring that the Jewish experience is not only remembered, but respected.

We remain committed to this mission.
