We're at the AntiRacist Festival in Carmarthen

We attended the AntiRacist Education Festival in Carmarthen on Friday 21 June - our project officer Emily, who also works with the Holocaust Educational Trust, represented the project.

She was talking to people about our plans for the restoration of Merthyr Tydfil synagogue, and finding out more about what the festival attendees would like to see at the Cultural Centre as part of our education offer.

This was the first ever ARE Festival in the UK, and it brought together visionary authors and speakers to a community of educators on their antiracist journeys.

Festival attendees attended speeches, workshops and networking sessions with the common aim of enriching cultural understanding, ensuring diversity of voices and prioritising equality.
